About us
Welcome to TravelTipsforSeniors,
We are Robert and Judith Seton currently living on the coast near Brisbane, Queensland Australia.
We are firm believers that age is just a number and shouldn't limit anyone doing whatever they choose to do. With that in mind we created this site to encourage you to see the world, experience and appreciate different cultures, meet new people and maybe expand your view of the world.
We also believe that one of the keys to protecting and regenerating our beautiful world with all its diversity and creativity is to see other places natural worlds and different cultures and appreciate their differences.
We believe we grow as human beings by experiencing outside what we know.
We have travelled for as long as we can remember. As a child Judith would drive with her grandparents from the East Coast of America to the West Coast with wonderful stops along the way.
"I was so lucky to see the Old Faithful Geyser and the amazing thermal pools and animals of Yellowstone National Park at six. At seven I vividly remember seeing the presidents carved at Mt Rushmore and the vast plains of the American mid west. As a teen ager I traveled to Europe on my own and fell in love with the differences from country to country."
At a child Robert traveled with his family from Melbourne Australia to Sydney being amazed by the tall buildings and iconic Harbour Bridge. They visited the ferry penguins at Philip Island getting up close and personal with the adorable birds as they ran from the sea to their dens.
"In my early 20s I got the itch to see the world and traveled through South East Asia being awestruck by the Taj Mahal, the temples and every day life in India. The ancient wisdom and and beautiful architecture opened my eyes to a new world. Fying over Mt Everest was one of many high points of those fifteen months traveling through Asia."
